The eastern region of Asturias has several routes leading to Cuadonga/Covadonga. One of the most well-known is the route starting in the historic coastal village of Llanes. From here it stretches to the village of Los Callejos, and then, passing through Riocaliente, it approaches Llenin and Corao. In the vicinity of the Picos de Europa, Abamia and la Cruz de Priena are the final historical and natural landmarks before reaching Cuadonga/Covadonga.
