A fine sandy beach originating at the mouth of the river Anguileiro.
The paradise of surf and sun in the west of the island
It is an urban beach, located in Tapia itself, which opens up next to the meanders of the river Anguileiro and joins two areas known as Los Campos and La Ribeira. To the east, there are more urban coves, such as Maleguas, As Furadas and Ribeiría.
This sandy area is made up of fine, toasted-coloured sand. It has all kinds of services, a recreational area, a large car park and a promenade that connects to the port.
It is the favourite spot on the coast for surfers. In fact, it hosts an international competition held every Easter.
Ordinance for pets on the beach:
- The access of domestic animals to beaches and bathing areas is prohibited, with the exception of that which is necessary for the development of activities duly authorised by the competent health authority.
- In the case of abandoned animals wandering on the beaches, their owners shall be responsible for them.
- The presence of guide dogs is authorised on the beaches in the company of the person they serve, without prejudice to the responsibility of their owner and/or proprietor and the measures that he/she must adopt to avoid disturbance or risk to other users.
