Info
A past as a whaling port
Two small shells separated by a promontory. This is Carranques beach, located in the residential town of Perlora. It is a very popular beach, with good facilities and lifeguards in high season.
With golden sand and moderate waves, it loses almost all of its sandy area at high tide. Its surroundings are of great scenic interest, with coves, caves and abundant vegetation. To the west of the beach is the island of Entrellusa, where there was an ancient whaling port documented as far back as 1232.
