A beach par excellence in the nearby fishing village of Puerto de Vega, declared a Natural Monument.
An extensive stretch of sand of great ecological and tourist value.
Frexulfe is a large beach, close to the fishing village of Puerto de Vega, which is bordered by a coastal path and which has a wooded area, which fixes a dune system. The sandy area is set in a natural monument, to which it gives its name, covering a total of 15 hectares. On its shore you can find very rare animal and botanical species such as the Tohantus Marítimus or the Shag.
At the easternmost end of this sandy area, with its strong waves, a stream flows into the sea. This is the point where bathing is allowed. It has all the services.
It faces north, which makes it dangerous for bathing.
Ordinance for pets on the beach:
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/05 to 30/09.
- Pets are allowed on the promenades and urban promenades, in the areas near the accesses to the beaches, provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
