Sandy beach in a residential area.
One of the richest and most varied ecosystems on the Asturian coast.
With sand and rocks, Huelgues beach is located in the surroundings of the residential town of Perlora. With a medium level of occupation, it has good facilities and access by urban transport.
Huelgues or Güelgues beach is also known as La Cabaña beach, which was the name of the bar that used to be in the holiday village of Perlora, which is why many people still call it that. In its rocky areas, you can find well-known species such as limpets, sea urchins and octopuses, but also other less recognisable species such as actinias. This diversity is due to its intertidal ecosystem.
Ordinance on pets on the beach:
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/05 to 30/09.
- Pets will be allowed on the promenades and urban promenades, in the areas near the accesses to the beaches, provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
Rescue service (daily): 10/06 to 14/09
ACCESSIBLE - PRACTICABLE
There is a ramp leading down to the sand.
