A beach of golden sand and pebbles in a natural environment that forms the border with the neighbouring council of Ribadesella.
A beach carved into the rock that serves as a boundary between Llanes and Ribadesella.
Guadamía is an example of a karst landscape shaped by water. It is an elongated beach, carved out of the rock by the sea and whose caves in the cliff walls are the best example of its porosity. The exit to the sea is barely visible from the sand. At high tide, it takes the form of an enormous natural pool. At low tide it is necessary to go out to the edge of the cliffs to swim.
It is surrounded by meadows and is totally natural, with great scenic interest.
Access from Llanes is from the village of Llames de Pría along a concrete road and there is a small car park nearby.
To get there from Ribadesella, follow the course of the River Guadamía along the "Senda Cachero" from the Guadamía Bridge in Cuerres.
Ordinance for pets on the beach:
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09.
- In the case of abandoned animals wandering on the beaches, their owners will be responsible for them.
- Those who violate the prohibitions, or do not comply with the conditions set out above, must immediately leave the beach with the animal, at the verbal request of the Authority Agents or Rescue personnel, who will issue a report in order to investigate the appropriate disciplinary proceedings.
