An isolated cove in an urban setting
It is a small cove of barely 100 metres, made up of white sand and stone, which can be reached on foot from the town centre of Ribadesella/Ribeseya. It can also be reached on foot from the outskirts.
It is not a very busy beach, as it is a little secluded and has moderate waves.
It is separated from the fishing village by Mount Corbero or La Atalaya, from which it takes its name.

Ordinance for pets on the beach:
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 10/06 to 17/09.
- Pets will be allowed on the promenades and urban promenades, in the areas near the beach accesses, provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
