A stroll along the longest sandy beach in the Principality
Long, dark golden sands and strong waves. This is the Bayas or El Sablón beach, a beautiful stretch of sand that joins the Los Quebrantos beach to form a long shore, more than three kilometres long, ideal for long walks. Between them, we find the river Ranón, the natural boundary between the councils of Castrillón and Soto del Barco.
At its eastern end, there is an area known as Los Requexinos, of great natural beauty. For travellers arriving in Asturias by plane, the Playón de Bayas is not to be missed; it is a large sandy area that can be seen just before landing.
Pets are allowed all year round.
