Description -

The pilgrim trail continues once again at Venta La Espasa, a solid construction dating from the 16th century, which was once a hostel for pilgrims and still retains its hórreo (raised granary-cum-storehouse) and the ruins of the old stables. From the El Barrigón residential area, take the N-632 to the crossroads in Gobiendes, taking the old pilgrim route and returning to the road where a detour to the left leads to Güeñu Stream and bridge. Continue on from there to Covián and straight west to Colunga. Pass through the town along Grande Covián Street and take the turning, by road, toward L'Infiestu. Continue along the River Llovones valley past La Calzada, El Tarrerón, La Ería de San Vicente and La Venta, crossing La Llorea Bridge to leave the valley. Following the road on La Biesca hillside you come to El Conyéu, where you head down to Pernús. The route then heads uphill to La Vega and continues along the path off to the left leading steeply uphill to La Llera. After La Cabañota Pass, the route heads downhill to Priesca. Once past the Pre-Romanesque Church of San Salvador, consecrated in 921 and which boasts interesting pictorial remains and beautiful capitals, continue on to La Vega on "El Caminón" (Big Path) off to the right. From there, the route continues along the left bank of the River Sebrayo to the meadowland of the Nabla Stream where, after crossing a bridge, you come to the village of Sebrayo and its hostel.
