Description -

The trail leaves Salas along the right bank of the River Nonaya until reaching the road to El Llanón, bearing left 700 metres further on until reaching the houses in Porciles. From there, continue along the Camín de misa (road to mass) to the Church of Bodenaya, where you take the road to La Espina. At the last house (Casa Cándano) in La Espina, the trail bears right towards La Pereda, the first village in the borough of Tineo, where there was once a pilgrim hospital. Head up to the top of the village to take the path to the two houses called El Espín and Bedures and then head down towards the Church of Saints Justo and Pastor in El Pedregal. There, opposite the old stone cross on the other side of the road, you will see the path that leads to Santa Eulalia de Tineo. By the parish church, take the path to Zarracín and, at the crossroads, the path to the left until you come to Campo de San Roque and the Chapel of San Roque, just 1 kilometre from the town of Tineo. Founded by the saint himself according to tradition, the chapel must have been raised by French pilgrims in the late 12th century. Although it has suffered successive rebuilding, it still retains traces of its Romanesque origin. Follow along the French Road or "Friars' Walk" to enter Tineo. The pilgrim hostel, located in the neighbourhood of El Viso, is reached after the detour in Campo de San Roque.
