Pre-Romanesque carved pieces from the Church of San Martín.

The museum, housed in the historic Valdés Salas Mansion Tower, dating from the 14th century, displays a valuable collection of Pre-Romanesque carvings from the Church of San Martín (9th-10th C.) located one kilometre from the town of Salas.

These carvings are a sample of the decorative and artistic richness of the Asturian workshops of the time.

PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS
The collection consists of a set of pieces spread over the three floors that make up the medieval tower:

  • Ground Floor: Collection of windows and lintels
  • First Floor: Tombstones with cross carving and inscription
  • Second Floor: Epigraphic tombstones
