A tour of the Turón Valley industrialization process.

Housed in the old carpentry shop at the Fortuna Mine, in San Andrés de Turón, the content of the Fortuna Pit Centre unfolds via three blocks of exhibits which gather together the history of the industrialization of the Turón Valley since its beginnings, with incipient mining activities which the workers combined with their farming and cattle-raising activities until the new venture of recovering and promoting the valley's natural resources and history of the pit. All put together through photographs with explanatory texts, interactive displays and audio-visual screenings. At the end of the visit, you also enter a room in which reference is made to the recovery of "Historical Memory" and the events which occurred during and after the Spanish Civil War. There is also a visit to an actual underground gallery, used to store explosives, in which you can experience what it is like to work underground.

The visit is rounded off with a tour of the outside, where you can see outdoor panels and various examples of mining machinery.
