Info
The church of San Esteban, with its stylised tower, can be seen from almost any point in the town of Tapia. Neo-Gothic in style, it has three naves separated by pointed arches on pillars and covered by ribbed vaults.
At the foot of the church there is a square tower with a belfry and a balustrade, where an enormous stone statue of the Sacred Heart is placed.
One of the promoters of the temple, begun in 1896, was the Marquis of Casariego.
