Built in 1665, the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Pastur is located in the small village of the same name, a few kilometres from Illano, the capital of the council. It is the most visited pilgrimage centre in the west, and next to it stands a large teixo.
The head of the building is covered with a half-barrel vault, and the nave with a wooden gabled roof; the choir is at the foot. It has a triumphal arch, supported by moulded imposts. The vault of the chancel is covered with paintings, dated 1868, which are arranged in three bands divided into five square scenes, framed by floral borders, where the mysteries of the rosary are represented.
The belfry is a three-eyed 18th-century belfry topped by a pediment. In three of the angles there are stone reliefs representing curious masks, very expressive and threatening, with open mouths and wide-open eyes.
The church houses a 17th century popular Baroque altarpiece and several carvings from the same period. The image of the Virgin of Pastur is from the 18th century, and only the figure of the Child and the visible parts of the Virgin, hands and head, are carved. The rest is a frame made up of several crosspieces.
