- Quirós Asturias Centre
It is located in the village of Bermiego (Quirós) on the western slopes of the Aramo and is considered to be the oldest in Asturias and one of the oldest in Europe.
It is popularly known as "Teixu l'Iglesia" due to its location next to the church of Santa María.
Its dimensions are striking: 13 m in height, 6.82 m in diameter and 15 m in crown diameter.
Tradition has it that the relics of the Holy Ark passed very close by on their long journey from Jerusalem to Oviedo Cathedral, and it is likely that perhaps this texu or a predecessor of it witnessed this historic itinerary...
It is a perfect place to contemplate calmly and peacefully the incredible landscape that the nature of the area has left us.
