The Cantabrian Brown Bear is a unique species, whose natural habitat is the Cantabrian Mountains.

Protected since being listed as an endangered species in the 1970s, one of the ideal places in Asturias to get to know its ecosystem is the territory of Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña e Ibias, where this plantigrade has the highest breeding rates on the Iberian Peninsula.

The activity on offer comprises the search for tracks and evidence so as to get close to the majestic and emblematic Cantabrian Brown Bear.

The excursion lasts approximately eight hours, during which all aspects of the lifestyle of this wild species are covered in depth. Setting out early in the morning, you follow the trail searching for tracks and signs of the animal. The activity includes a picnic, optical equipment and public liability insurance.
