La Barca reservoir

Reservoir located between the municipalities of Tineo and Salas on the Narcea riverbed.

Its construction meant the flooding of the village of Bebares, with only five houses remaining above the water level.
Situated in a mountain valley surrounded by pine trees, it is suitable for activities such as sailing, bathing and fishing. Salmon and trout are the main fish in the water and are the target species for most anglers.

La Barca together with La Florida constitute the hunting refuge of the Pilotuerto and Calabazos reservoirs.
