Bisuyu - El Pumar - Carcedo - Berducedo

Bisuyu - Berducedo 27,5

From Besullo there are two options, a main route and an alternative route, to cover the part of the stage that will take us to Cocháu de Los Chagos, where both routes converge to continue along the same route to Berducedo.

The main route leaves Besullo along a dirt track at the end of the village, which leads to Pomar de las Montañas. Once we reach this rural centre, the track ascends through reforested areas of radiata pine(Pinus radiata) for a long stretch along which we can enjoy fantastic views of the Pomar river valley on our left. Continuing the ascent along the track, we will approach the Sierra de Los Lagos wind farm and arrive at the Cocháu de Los Chagos.

The final stretch of the stage leaves the Cocháu de Los Chagos behind and continues in a northerly direction, between heather and gorse, leaving the wind farm over the Sierra de Los Lagos to the right. In this part we can see to the left the valley of the river Oro and the Cordal de Berducedo, already in the neighbouring council of Allande. We go along the ruts of the vehicles until we reach the first watercourse, where we turn left to descend along a path that goes under a rocky area, leaving a wooded area on the left. We reach a crossroads with a track where we continue straight on and arrive at Villardejusto, where we turn right and then take the asphalted track that leads us to the River Oro, ascending until we reach Armenande and then Carcedo and Lago, until we reach the AS-14 road, where the route turns off to the left.

The route then continues along the road through a pine forest of Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris) and later turns off to the left again onto a dirt track which, through meadows, leads to Berducedo, the end of the stage.

Alternative route 14,8

To reach Cocháu de Los Chagos, the alternative route crosses Besullo and ascends along a forest track upstream on the right bank of the river Pomar. Shortly after starting this alternative, we can see the rural centre of Pomar de las Montañas on the other side of the river. This forest track continues ascending through pine woods, on a steep slope, until it reaches the Cocháu de Los Chagos, where it joins the main route. We should therefore pay attention to the signs to continue along the track that leads to Berducedo.
