From the vicinity of the Monastery of San Juan Bautista, the Nature Trail leaves Corias by the medieval bridge over the Narcea and runs along the first kilometres of the stage along a tarmac track parallel to the river, until the town of Retuertas, where the route turns off to climb moderately to the rural village of Santa Ana, leaving beautiful views of the Sierra de la Pillarma, dominated by forests of broadleaf and coniferous trees.
Once you reach the village of Santa Ana, the route crosses the asphalted streets of the village as far as the Alto de Santa Ana, where the route crosses the road and continues straight on along a gravel track that passes to the left of the houses.
The path then continues in a southerly direction, crossing the Sierra de Santa Isabel along a dirt track that runs between meadows and pastures. From the upper part of the sierra there are beautiful panoramic views of the valleys of the rivers Irondo and Pomar, and the Sierra de Valledor. A few metres after crossing the Latrene geodesic vertex, the route turns to the right and begins to descend steeply, between farms, meadows and flat areas, towards the rural village of Irrondo de Besullo.
The last part of the stage descends by road between different villages to the valley of the River Irondo. At Irrondo de Besullo, the path joins the road, crosses the river Arganza over a bridge, and continues descending along an asphalted track to reach the rural village of Besullo, the final destination of the stage.
