Summary La Peral - Sotiello

The wide valley where the La Peral Valley Recreational Area is located allows you to contemplate the beauty of the area, through which you will be riding for quite a while. The stage begins in the Recreational Area and the GR-208 Central Mountains Cycling Circuit heads uphill along the AS-230 road towards Alto de La Cobertoria.

Passing by the access from La Golpeya, continue uphill towards the turning to El Gamoniteiru, which you reach after a climb of 2.8 km. You don't turn there, but continue on towards Alto de La Cobertoria (1,184 m), where you will get your first views over the lands of Quirós.

At the crossroads on top of Alto de La Cobertoria, bear left along the asphalted QU-5 fork towards Las Chanas. The route then heads downhill for around 3.7 km. You will soon come to a turning on the left signposted "GR-109 Asturias Interior" and the GR-208 itself.

You therefore leave the road, taking the trail that heads up Las Colinas and Las Chafarizas from the meadow called Prau Porciles. The climb alternates tough and easy stretches, with wide paths allowing you to reach the top of Cordal de Porciles ridge, where you can ride for a few minutes enjoying the view of the different valleys belonging to the boroughs of Quirós and Lena.

Once you have ridden along the ridge, you then head downhill for quite some time along a wide track that ends in the village of Valle, where you can access the LE-7 road. From this point on, you can't get lost, sharing the trail with the GR-109 and PR-87 into the small village of Zurea.

Turn left in Zurea to continue on the road towards Sotiello, which is the end of this stage.
