GR204 - Coastal Path E9 - Stage 6 The section from Caravia to Isla (BTT) can be done by bicycle. From Isla to Colunga it is best to go along the Senda Saludable (Healthy Path) that has been set up between the two towns, which does not go along the sea, but next to the road, but it is beautiful and safe. You could also go along the Mysteries of the Sea route, but this one is quite narrow for cycling and has cliffs.
Taking advantage of part of the Camino de Santiago, we extend the Entreplayas route to go from the Arenal de Morís beach to the Jurassic site of La Griega beach, discovering more beaches along the way. Between pastures and sea, walking on the sand or on cliffs, we enjoy the views of the Sierra del Sueve mountain range on one side and the coast on the other.
Under the gaze of the largest yew forest in the Iberian Peninsula, we discover a coast dominated by aladiernos and aromatic sanjuaninos, with impossible shapes due to the strength of the coastal wind.
We pass the beautiful beach of La Isla and, after crossing villages, fields and paths, we arrive at the no less beautiful beach of La Griega, where we can get close to the second largest dinosaur footprints in the world, something that we should not miss and which are a geological jewel in their own right.

Arenal de Morís Beach - La Griega Beach 10
This coastal route starts at the car park of the Arenal de Morís beach and continues along the side of the road. In the next 200 metres we turn right onto a path with plenty of green meadows.
After the first kilometre, there is a fork in the road, but we continue straight on along our path. We then cross the Romeros stream over a footbridge. About 500 metres further on, we come to the second beach, the beach of La Beciella.
After 2.8 kilometres, there are numerous crossroads, but we continue straight ahead. Here we can see the third of the beaches, the Espasa beach. Almost a kilometre further on, we reach the fourth beach, El Barrigón.
Almost halfway along the route, kilometre 4.6, we come to the fifth of the beaches on this route, La Isla. We also have views of the lovely village of Llastres and a beautiful panoramic view of the Sierra del Sueve mountain range.
Around 8 kilometres from the start of the route, we come to a fork in the road, where we turn left to take us to the village of Güerres (Colunga). If we turn right, we do not pass through the village of Güerres, but instead we will take a steep climb to the highest part of the route, among eucalyptus trees, and then descend towards the viewpoints and the beach.
After walking another 2 kilometres from the previous point, we leave Güerres and pass through San Xuan; once again we leave the village.
The end of the route, kilometre 11, is marked by the beach of La Griega, which we reach by walking another kilometre from San Xuan (Colunga).
