Bustu - Bustu

Bustu - Bustu (Valdés) 7,8

This route, which will take us to the edge of large cliffs, starts in the village of Bustu. Once in the village, follow the signs to the schools, which are about 500 metres away, and this is where the route begins.

A few metres after starting, 300 metres approximately, from the path to the schools, we find our first crossroads; it is signposted. To the right it will take us to the Bozo beach, but before that we continue straight on along the path.

For the next 300 metres, we have a beautiful view of the cliffs of Valdés, and the beaches of Cueva, las Imeas and los Cantones. Once we have enjoyed it, we go back to the crossroads and turn left to go through pine and eucalyptus trees.

When we have walked about 2.3 kilometres from the start of the route, we come to a crossroads again. Turn left and walk a few metres to get a close-up view of the Bozo beach. Then we go back along the same path until we reach the crossroads again.

At the crossroads again, kilometre 3.3, follow the branch to the right and after a few metres turn left and continue straight on. The path continues along a flat path between green meadows and cliff edges. After walking for one kilometre from the previous point, we can see the beaches of Bozo and Cabo Busto from above, as well as contemplate Cabo Busto more closely with its amazing rocky walls.

At kilometre 4.8, almost near the end of the route, we are already at Cape Busto, with its beautiful lighthouse and viewpoint. From here you can see down to the small beach of the same name and the Serrón beach.

One kilometre further on, the path continues along the cliffs to Arenoso point, and we can also see Castiellu el Serrón, a small islet just opposite; to the right of this outcrop we come to Barchinas beach.

From here onwards the path starts to move away from the coast and approaches Bustu again.

In the next few metres you will come to two crossroads, where you should turn left at both of them and continue straight on without turning off.

At kilometre 7, we turn right and continue along the path without taking any detours, and after about 300 metres we turn left again, and we are almost in the centre of the village, the end point of our route, where we can easily find the school signs and return to the starting point.
