Oviedo/Uviéu - Fuso de la Reina 8,8

The route starts at the Winter Park in Oviedo/Uviéu. It is practically flat and well paved, so it can be done on foot, by bicycle or on skates. At different points there are several picnic areas where you can eat or simply rest.

In the first 500 metres of the route, there is a panel indicating that this is the beginning of the green trail, along with several commemorative plaques.

Along the first kilometre of the path, you will pass under the motorway several times. At the beginning of the path you can already see different species of trees with small birdhouses, as well as the remains of what was once a railway crossing.

After 2.2 kilometres, we reach the old La Manxoya station, where we can see the Mostayal peak in the background, and a few metres further on we pass over the wooden bridge that crosses the motorway. In one kilometre, we will cross the Ayones-Llagú road. At this junction you will see some Feve signs with the slogan: "Get in touch with nature and return to the city by train". At the end of this straight we will find the first railway tunnel.

After about 5 kilometres, you will come across an old mill and the El Molineru tunnel, which is 150 metres long.

A kilometre and a half from this point, we can see, on the left bank, the course of the river Gafo surrounded by vegetation, as well as the next tunnel, El Mergallu, shorter than the previous one, about 70 metres long, and the third of these limestone tunnels, Premaña, even shorter than the previous ones, about 30 metres long.

When we reach kilometre 7, we come to the fourth of the tunnels, the Veneros tunnel, the longest, 260 metres long. In about 400 metres, we see the splendour of the longest and most abundant river in Asturias, the River Nalón. We must cross the centenary iron bridge that leads to the village of Fuso, where our route ends. From here we can also see Peña Avis.
