Sisterna - Zarréu 19,6

The route starts in the village of Sisterna in the Council of Ibias, where we take the road that goes to Degaña, after a few metres we take a path that goes to the left of the road and that leads us between chestnut trees to the village of Tablado, the first village in the Council of Degaña, we cross Trabáu and leave the village by a track that runs parallel to the road until we reach a crossroads where there are some telephone repeaters, here we cross the road and the path continues under it until we reach a bend. Here we cross the road and the path continues underneath it until we reach a bend, almost at the Tablado pass. Here the path takes a turn and heads clearly west, passing by the remains of a building used for hunting wolves.

We continue along this track which gains height in a zigzag and then continue along it until we reach a meadow where it leaves the path and heads clearly south towards the pass above us. From here we have one of the most impressive views of the Concejo de Degaña, and of the bordering area of Ibias. Once we have crossed the pass, we start a slight descent until we find the road again and take the path that comes out almost in front of us, which leads us to El Reboḷḷar.

We cross the village and take a concrete track that heads southwards. On leaving the village we come across a track on the right that heads towards the Trayecto pass, which we ignore, taking the one on the left, passing next to a tree where a hut has been built among its branches; shortly afterwards we pass next to the recreational area, continuing through an area close to the meadow where there are many meadows.

Shortly after, the path enters a beautiful forest where the beech and oak trees provide shelter for the walker and where wildlife has its refuge. The path sometimes climbs a little and sometimes descends near the river but it is always accompanied by the elves that inhabit this place. It leads us to the village of Degaña, which we cross on the west side, to cross the river again and begin a slight ascent and pass through an area of low scrubland before entering again into the impressive forest that we are crossing. Continuing along the main track, we arrive near the river where there are some mine ponds.

Here the path turns west for a few metres and enters the forest again, climbing slightly until it reaches the vicinity of Cerredo, where there is a turn-off that leads us to the right to the Cerredo pass and to the left to Cerredo, where this stage ends.
