Summary Seimeira Waterfall Trail

The trail begins at Pumares Recreational Area, where you take a path that crosses the road and heads towards the houses straight ahead.

From this point the trail becomes a path guarded by walls covered in moss and plants heading into a peaceful setting with the River Agüeira accompanying you on your left. Enjoy the scenery of meadows enclosed by stone walls, characteristic of this area of Asturias, and chestnut, oak and alder woods.

The trail heads uphill, becoming a path that successively heads away from and back to the course of the river before reaching the village of Ancadeira, now uninhabited. Pass through the village to return to the path along the banks of the River Agüeira, passing a concrete bridge that you should not cross.

Always following the river, head steeply uphill for a short distance and, once you reach the top, you will see Seimeira de Murias Waterfall. The path, which gradually gets narrower, leads to the foot of the waterfall, some 20 metres in height.

The return trip is along the same path.
