The main day is July 22nd, the feast day of Santa María Magdalena. In Llanes, this day is announced by fireworks at eight in the morning. Later, a parade, made up of members and supporters of the band, roams through the town to the rhythm of the pasodoble "El Magdaleno," performed by the music band, concluding at La Magdalena square. From there, the procession of the Saint begins towards the Basilica, where the Solemn Mass takes place.
After the Holy Mass, the procession takes place, passing through the so-called "Barrio de la Magdalena" (Magdalena neighborhood). Once the Saint is placed in her chapel, the grand Folk Festival begins, performed by members of the band. It includes original compositions, in addition to the genuine Pericote llanisco. Upon conclusion, the Dance of San Joaquín (a variety of Danza Prima) is performed, continuing until the chapel, where the morning events conclude.
After lunch, a concert is offered by the music band, performing classical pieces along with exclusive compositions from the band. Then, the pilgrimage begins until dusk, when the Dance of San Joaquín resumes until the chapel. At night, a grand open-air dance concludes the festivities.
