A route with views of the Bay of Biscay, the Cuera mountain range and the Picos de Europa, perfect for enjoying the beauty of the Asturian coastline.

The route linking Las Cámaras beach to San Antolín beach connects some of the most iconic beaches on the Llanes coastline. The route starts at Las Cámaras beach, in Celoriu, and heads westwards along a well-marked path that borders the Cantabrian Sea, with constant views of the coastline and the coastal ridge.

The first section is marked by a succession of beautiful beaches: Palombina, Borizu, Troenzo, Sorraos and Barro beach, small secluded coves that offer continuous reasons to stop and enjoy the scenery.

After leaving Barro beach behind, the route heads inland, passing the chapel of La Magdalena and then skirting the inlet of Niembru, where the path crosses the small chapel of Ánimas El Santín, a charming spot.

We continue on our way until we reach one of the highlights of the route: the viewpoint overlooking Torimbia beach, adorned with the sculpture "Estela", which adds an artistic touch to the already impressive natural landscape. From here there is a spectacular view of the Cantabrian Sea, the Cuera mountain range and, on clear days, the Picos de Europa on the horizon. It is a perfect place to pause and admire the grandeur of the surroundings.

From the viewpoint, the path begins the descent towards the beach of San Antolin, crossing the Bedón River via a steel and wooden footbridge that offers privileged views of the river mouth and the beach.

Very close to the end of the route are the remains of the ancient Monastery of San Antolín de Bedón, which has been recorded since the 12th century and is a valuable testimony to the religious and cultural past of this part of the Asturian coast.

The route ends at the beach of San Antolín, a wide stretch of fine sand, ideal for resting after the walk. Here, a small viewpoint allows you to continue enjoying the scenery before ending the route.

  • It runs partially through the ZEC and ZEPA Ría de Ribadesella - Ría de Tinamayor of the Natura 2000 Network.
  • Stage of the GR-204

Basic tips before going into the mountains

  • Avoid approaching livestock.
  • If you find mastiffs protecting livestock, do not approach them, do not pet them and do not feed them. Do not allow them to follow you or stray from their herd. They are working.
  • If you go with a dog, always keep it on a leash.
  • Don't leave a trail. Collect all your waste, including organic waste. Nature is not a dumping ground.
  • Act with prudence. Plan your route well, take everything you need and make sure it is adapted to your physical capacity.
