The Navia and its basin mark its life and its orography. With its rich prehistory and unique history, Boal presents different aspects and spectacular landscapes in the four seasons of the year, such as those of the Penouta and La Bobia mountain ranges, so closely linked to the tomb and dolmen culture, which, together with hill forts such as Pendia , constitute one of the signs of identity not only of this council but of the whole Navia Historical Park. Another of its undeniable signs of identity is the world of beekeeping , which reaches its peak with the celebration of the honey fair, usually held at the end of October.
The Navia, dammed up at the Doiras reservoir , is also spectacular, as are the possibilities for leisure and active tourism in terms of river sports and adventures. A land of stories and legends, with places full of magic such as the Cova del Demo, or with villages such as the capital of the council, Boal/Bual, where the Indian architecture is one of its great heritage strongholds, highlighted through the Emigration Interpretation Centre in the village of San Llouguís. Land of 'ferreiros' and 'claveros', the Centro de Interpretación de la Artesanía del Hierro, in Rozadas, also shows us these trades.
