Info
It is housed in a former school built in the 1920s by ‘The Society of Natives of the Municipality of Boal in Havana’. The centre features a classroom that has been recreated using original materials from the schools built by emigrants from Boal in the municipality. A visit to the centre can be complemented by a guided tour of the emigration-era architecture in the town of Bual and a visit to the Lavaderos Interpretation Centre.
The town of Bual preserves one of the most representative examples in western Asturias of architecture linked to emigration to the Americas in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
