Jornadas Gastronómicas de la Llámpara (Gastronomic Days of La Llámpara)

Every year, around the month of May, both Mali towns - Quintes and Quintueles - get together to organise this culinary and recreational event, which involves a large part of the local hotel and catering trade. For several days the restaurants, cider houses and eating houses in the area are bursting with tasty menus, in which the 'llámpara' (or 'lapa' in Spanish) is the queen of the table.

Varied recipes and marvellous pairings liven up the gastronomic days in an area with a great tradition of "llámpara" cuisine, given the scenic characteristics of a coastline with an abundance of rocky outcrops and cliffs.

The area also offers numerous tourist attractions, in addition to its excellent cuisine. Routes, beaches, beautiful villages, interesting civil and religious architecture, etc.

The Asturian spring has one of its most significant recreational events in these Gastronomic Days of the "Llámpara", which, year after year, make known one of the great delicacies of Asturian nature, which in this part of the coast acquires the rank of excellence.
