In its second edition, this popular march acquired international status, and from the third edition onwards, it became the perfect occasion for exploring the many tourism and leisure options offered by the municipality of Navia. Additionally, due to its massive attendance, it entered the Guinness Book of World Records, where its remarkable participation and uniqueness were acknowledged.
The International Journey of the Navia Coast takes place in remarkably beautiful landscapes, including beaches such as Barayo and Frexulfe, and fishing villages like Puerto de Vega. With an average participation of 2,000 people - reaching up to 4,000 registered participants in some years - it attracts thousands of people annually from within and outside of Asturias.
Furthermore, the attractive route of the march makes this event a benchmark in the field of hiking. So much so that many groups from other regions such as Galicia, León, Cantabria, or Madrid happily join this Journey, which also captures the attention of participants from other countries such as Argentina, Mexico, or Portugal.
The International Journey of the Navia Coast is usually celebrated on the second or third Sunday of June.
