Preba de la Sidra

This popular and very atmospheric event consists of the presentation of the cider product by the many participating cider makers, who submit their ciders to the vote of the visitors, after tasting them.

If the cider boulevard usually has a great atmosphere, on the day of La Preba it is packed with people, always eager to taste the cider of the season and to give their opinion as a qualified popular jury.

Gascona Street, one of the oldest and most traditional streets in the Asturian capital, has its origins linked to the tradition of the Camino de Santiago, and is currently one of the busiest in Asturias for locals and foreigners who come here eager to taste the best Asturian cuisine and the best cider.

The qualities of this street and its level of hospitality never disappoint, quite the contrary, and La Preba de la sidra is one of those occasions when Gascona shows its excellence.
