"Tenis-Playa" Tournament

The Luanco Beach Tennis Tournament is a sporting and cultural event that takes place in Lluanco/Luanco, the capital of the Gozón municipality. Its rich history dates back to the early 1970s, and since then, although with some interruptions, it has been held on La Ribera beach, being the only exhibition tennis tournament organized on the sandy shore during low tide.

Bleachers with a capacity exceeding 2,000 people are set up on the beach, and together with the natural conditions of the environment, the capacity can reach almost 3,000 spectators. Additionally, the venue has artificial lighting for matches to be played at night.

The Luanco Beach Tennis Tournament has great prestige in the tennis field, both nationally and internationally, and this, combined with its unique characteristics, positions the village of Lluanco/Luanco as a true sports mecca. The lively and playful atmosphere surrounding the event is the perfect finishing touch to this Touristic Interest Festival of the Principality of Asturias.
