Natural Cider Festival in Gijón

For several decades, the Natural Cider Festival has been livening up the last week of August and therefore the final stretch of the summer. The festival is undoubtedly one of the great and classic events of the summer in Gijón, with a wide range of activities.

Urban art, ephemeral art, the cider and apple market, the cider pouring competitions, the cider bus, visits to emblematic cider houses, the cider pouring competition, the theatrical performances, the cider songs, the popular tastings, or the prize-giving ceremony are some of the typical activities of a festival that fills streets and squares with its atmosphere, and that dresses the whole city with a cider air.

But if there is one thing that stands out is the world record of simultaneous cider pouring that is beaten every year on the famous Poniente beach, which adds a touch of colour and originality that is unique in the world.
