- Days Days: March (7 and 8)
- Type Type: Festivity of Tourist Interest of the Principality of Asturias
Info
This is an original celebration in Pimiango, which is attended by locals from all over Ribadedeva and also by people who come from other parts of Asturias and abroad.
The festival is currently of a religious nature and is dedicated to the martyrs San Emeterio and San Celedonio.
It consists of a pilgrimage from the village of Pimiango to the hermitage of San Emeterio. It is more than two kilometres of walking through an exceptionally beautiful landscape where you will find the Pindal Cave (World Heritage Site), the lighthouse of San Emeterio (the most easterly in Asturias), the Monastery of Tina, and the most coastal stretch of the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela.
The festival, where the traditional offering of the ramu and its auction are held, is brilliantly rounded off with a country tour - the only one in the municipality -, with music by bagpipe bands, performances by folk groups, cider and typical Asturian food.
