- Title Cangas del Narcea
- Address Locality: Cangas del Narcea
- Days Days: October (11th to 13th)
- Type Type: Tourist Interest Festival of the Principality of Asturias
The Harvest Festival is unique in Asturias, among other reasons because Cangas del Narcea is the only wine-producing region in the Principality, with a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages and with mountain vineyards that make this viticulture a truly heroic activity.
This festival takes place every year during the Pilar Bridge, in the first half of October, and there are multiple activities carried out around the grape harvest. In addition to the constant activity and atmosphere in the vineyards, the town of Cangas hosts a craft fair and market with all kinds of local products, as well as wine tastings, guided visits to the Wine Museum, gastronomy linked to the world of wine, etc. Numerous brotherhoods gather in Cangas del Narcea and have their own parade accompanied by the local Music Band.
It is four days of true devotion to the culture of Quality Wine from Cangas, where you can learn everything about this activity that has a thousand-year-old tradition in western Asturias, and that becomes more and more popular year after year.
