The San Pedrín festival is a classic event in the Asturian summer. Due to the characteristics of this festival, it can be said that we are facing a perfect example of a balanced fusion of nature, culture, and sports.
San Pedrín de la Cueva is well-known for its famous procession, in which the Saint is taken from the chapel where it is usually kept to a natural cave, where Mass is celebrated in the Asturian language.
The festive atmosphere is vibrant: bagpipe bands, choral concerts, traditional cuisine, and to top it all off, a full program of festivities including a traditional dance, folk music, as well as other recreational and sporting activities such as the motocross race, well-known at a national and even international level. There are also floats, in short, several days of non-stop celebration.
