Feast of Our Lady of Cébrano

The Virgen del Cébrano is the patron saint of Teverga, and for this reason this sanctuary is of great devotional and historical importance. Every 15th August, this festivity takes place in Carrea, which attracts hundreds of people from year to year, both locals and foreigners.

The Sanctuary has a remarkable history, and especially its presbytery is very old, dating from the height of pre-Romanesque art, around the 9th and 10th centuries. Moreover, its location, at the foot of the great Peña Sobia, is of singular beauty.

This is a typically Asturian festival, in which the locals, traditionally very friendly and hospitable, literally go all out in the middle of August.
