Hazelnut Festival

The Hazelnut Festival is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of October in the capital of the Piloña council, L'Infiestu. This great tribute to one of Asturias' quintessential native fruits finds the best stage to showcase itself in the lands of Piloña.

Piloña has a strong natural tradition linked to forests, craftsmanship, wood, organic agriculture, rural tourism, and more. For this reason, the Hazelnut Festival is a recreational and cultural event deeply rooted in this territory. It features a program of festive activities such as traditional markets, craft and agri-food product exhibitions, bird exhibitions, woodcraft exhibitions, bowling championships, and more. All of this culminates in typical open-air dances and celebrations.

This festival highlights the respect for traditions and the celebration of Asturias' natural products.
