The Indianos Fair is held every year in July in Colombres, capital of the council of Ribadedeva. This festival began in 2008, with the aim of paying tribute to the Spanish-American culture existing in this territory, thanks to the significant migratory contingents that took place in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, from this part of eastern Asturias to the American continent.

The event combines in one weekend all kinds of cultural, gastronomic and recreational events, all of them related to the Indian theme. In reality, it is a total immersion in this culture, which over time has generated a multitude of manifestations linked to architecture, clothing, lifestyle, gastronomy, folklore, music, art, crafts, gastronomy, literature, etc.

Colombres, the capital of Ribadense, which was also an Exemplary Town of Asturias in 2015, is an ideal setting for the celebration of this event, due to the great Indian tradition it possesses, which is evident in its brilliant architecture, its history and its atmosphere.

The Colombres Indianos Fair has become more and more popular year after year, and its varied and entertaining programme of activities has expanded, making it an unmissable summer event in the east of Asturias.
