The Centro de Interpretación de los Cañones Submarinos de Avilés is a space that mediates the artistic representation of scientific contents, with the aim of enhancing the value of one of the most unique places on the Cantabrian coast and, at the same time, the most unknown: the Gran Sima de Avilés. To this end, it has worked to provide visitors with a unique recreation of these underwater canyons due to the creative, communicative, technological and virtual immersion characteristics of the public, using the most innovative interactive image techniques: augmented reality and virtual reality, holograms and 3D models.
