Mountain recreational area, including Penouta Scenic Balcony looking inland. Well known because the traditional La Jira, the festivals in honour of Santiago (St James the Greater), has been held here for a number of years now. Equipped with barbecues and granite tables and benches.

Take the AS-22 from Boal towards Vegadeo until you reach Alto de Penouta Hill, where you turn left (signposted as "mirador interior" or inland scenic balcony) onto a tarmacked road about 2 km long that leads to the area.
