We leave Rusecu/Rioseco, in the heart of the Redes Biosphere Reserve, along the AS-117 road, bordering the Tanes reservoir, at the end of which we take the AS-254 road towards Tañes, following the valley of the river Orlé. In Tañes we can stop to see the Collegiate Church of Santa María La Real. The Museum of Beekeeping is also very interesting.

We immediately begin the ascent to the Collada de Arnicio (908 m), which we reach after a climb of about 8 km. With its meadows, the Collada de Arnicio is an obligatory stop and there are good views in all directions. We can see the Cerro Facéu, the Xamoca and the Busllar, among others. After the restorative stop, we continue our route towards L'Infiestu, where we will arrive after descending some 22 km following the valley of the river La Marea.

We cross L'Infiestu along the Avenida de Orrín and continue along local roads following the suggested route, as we sometimes deviate from these to take tracks that make this trip even more enjoyable. At times the route runs parallel to the valley of the river Piloña and at others we pass through some charming villages, such as Valle, until we reach Villamayor, where we can stop to visit the church of Santa María, considered a BIC (Asset of Cultural Interest).

The route continues through meadows and livestock villages along roads and tracks in good condition. We will pass through small villages such as Sebares, Llames, in Parres, where we can stop to see the hermitage of San Martín de Escoto and Vega de los Caseros, until we enter the wide valley of the emblematic river Sella that will take us to Cangues d'Onís/Cangas de Onís, the end of the route. Here you can enjoy one of the most photographed monuments in Asturias, the 'Puente Romano' (Roman Bridge) with its hanging Victoria Cross, symbol of the lively capital of Cangues.

Respect the direction of traffic on urban stretches.

The road is quite deteriorated.
