We start from the marina of Gijón/Xixón, taking advantage of its network of cycle lanes until we join the La Camocha greenway, which we leave to reach La Pedrera. We continue along the Camino de Los Campones until we join the AS-381 road and continue along the Camino de Pinzales until we reach the parish of Ruedes.

Once past La Aguda we take the local road that climbs up steep slopes to Peñaferruz, where the Picu Alba stands out, and on which the Curiel Castle was built in the early Middle Ages. We shall continue on until we reach the junction with the AS-361 at La Venta del Jamón.

Once in Pravia, we continue along the AS-374 which will take us to La Estación/Lugo de Llanera, and then bring us closer to the slopes of Monte Naranco, to approach Oviedo/Uviéu following a series of paths and local roads that run parallel to the slopes of the mountain.

At a certain point, at Villamaxil, we can choose to take the detour to the Finnish track that takes us to the pre-Romanesque monuments of San Miguel de Lillo and Santa María del Naranco (3.2 km, one way). From this point we enter the urban environment of the city to cycle along streets that bring us closer to the historic centre and finish close to the Cathedral square.

Both Gijón/Xixón and Oviedo/Uviéu have historical sites and monumental areas that make this route more than a mere link and give meaning to the route in itself. The possibility of using the railway for the return journey encourages you to discover them without haste, savouring all the richness they have to offer.

Respect the direction of traffic on urban stretches.
