The route starts and ends at the RENFE station in Oviedo/Uviéu, following the track until we reach the Fuso greenway, along which we will ride past Les Caldes, where it is interesting to see the Romanesque doorway of the church of San Juan de Priorio, and we will continue along the course of the Nalón until we reach Trubia.

In Trubia we take the AS-218 road and cross the river to the Furacón reservoir. We then pass through San Pedru Nora, where we should stop to visit the pre-Romanesque church of the same name.

We continue on to Gallegos, where we take the AS-371 road and a few metres further on we turn off to the left over the medieval bridge, taking the track to the left that takes us to Rodiella. We immediately take the valley of the river Nora, beside which we continue until we reach Brañes, where we leave the course of the river and begin to climb towards the Alto del Violeo. We continue turning left to go around the peak of Cerro del Capellán, and continue with small ascents and descents until we reach the Cristo del Naranco.

From here, it is all downhill. We take the first track on the left to make the descent, which is quite technical, via the Los Pastores fountain, until we reach San Miguel de Lillo, a pre-Romanesque monument which, together with Santa María del Naranco, has been declared a World Heritage Site. We continue descending and soon we must stop again to contemplate Santa María del Naranco.

All that remains is to continue down to the city, where the route ends.

The descent from Naranco to San Miguel de Lillo is quite technical.
