The route begins in the historic town of Ribadesella/Ribeseya, whose historic centre is well worth a visit.

It continues along the old N-632 road through rural landscapes of great value, with access to some beautiful nearby beaches, such as Vega, Espasa or La Griega, before reaching Llastres.

A highly recommended stop, after passing Espasa Beach, is to visit the pre-Romanesque church of Santiago de Gobiendes, which, although it has undergone numerous alterations, is very interesting and has been declared a Historic-Artistic Monument. A little more than 100 m away, in the old schools of Gobiendes, is the Sierra del Sueve Interpretation Centre. Here we can obtain the necessary information to prepare our excursion, as well as the possibility of renting bicycles.

We head towards Llastres, a picturesque enclave on a steep hillside overlooking the sea with its small fishing port. We ascend with some difficulty to the Mirador de San Roque viewpoint, from where we have a spectacular panoramic view of its white houses with reddish roofs, surrounded by the characteristic Asturian greenery and the Picos de Europa as a backdrop.

We continue along the AS-235 road through meadows until we reach Rodiles Beach, where we can enjoy the mouth of the Villaviciosa Estuary, a nature reserve of great ecological value for its scenic beauty and ornithological interest. We return to the N-632 road, but not before visiting the Church of Santa Eulalia de Selorio, now in the council of Villaviciosa, which has been declared a Historic-Artistic Monument and a Site of Cultural Interest.

We continue through meadows and small rural villages to the end of the route, in the town of Villaviciosa, which has a very attractive historical site, with the late Romanesque church of Santa María de la Oliva, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.

Be respectful of pedestrians on the Paseo de Ribadesella/Ribeseya.

Respect the direction of traffic on urban stretches.
