A Natural Monument, with unique species and great scenic beauty

Vega y Entrepeñas Natural Monument is the recognition of the whole environment that opens up around this beach: the cliffs, the dune complex and so on. It contains elements of major botanical value, such as the Pyrenean toadflax, a plant that has only been localized at this point on the Asturian coast.

The beach itself is one of the largest in the region and is split by the mouth of a small stream. Being very open, it is usually beaten by a heavy swell. The western end is frequented by nudists, while dinosaur footprints are preserved at the easternmost end.
