A Natural Monument of outstanding scenic beauty
The Vega y Entrepeñas Natural Monument encompasses the entire area surrounding this beach, including the cliffs and the dune system... It contains elements of great botanical value, such as the golden sandwort, a plant that has only been found at this point along the Asturian coast.
The beach itself is one of the longest in the region and is bisected by the mouth of a small stream. As it is very open, it is often battered by strong waves. At the easternmost end, dinosaur footprints can still be seen.

- Pets are not permitted on the beach.
- On seafront and urban promenades, in areas close to beach access points, pets are permitted provided they are kept on a fixed lead and, where necessary due to the animal’s characteristics, must wear a muzzle.
