A Natural Monument of great scenic beauty
The Natural Monument of Vega y Entrepeñas recognises the entire environment around this beach, the cliffs, the dune complex... It contains elements of great botanical value, such as the golden gnatcatcher, a plant that has only been found at this point on the Asturian coast.
The sandy area itself is one of the largest in the region and is split by the mouth of a small stream. As it is very open, it is often battered by strong waves. Dinosaur footprints have been preserved at the easternmost end.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- From 08/06 to 15/09 dogs are not allowed on the beach between 8:00 and 21:00. From 21:00 to 8:00 h. access is allowed when dogs are kept on a leash.
- Pets are allowed on the seafront and urban promenades, in the areas near the beach accesses, as long as they are kept on a fixed leash and, when necessary due to the animal's characteristics, they must be muzzled.
