The fishing town of Lastres, Prince of Asturias Award for Exemplary Town, is one of the most beautiful and typical towns on the Asturian coast, known for its peculiar layout and adaptation to the terrain.

Its traditional houses and cobbled streets, with countless steps, head down to the sea combining sea views with vistas of the majestic Sueve Range.

From San Roque Scenic Balcony, situated at the highest part of the town, you can admire a beautiful panoramic view of the town and of beaches such as La Griega and La Isla Beaches, as well as the Sueve Range. You can even see the Picos de Europa on a clear day. The old part of the town accommodates places as emblematic as the Church of Santa María de Sábada, which is a reflection of the importance of seafaring life in this town. The Whaler's Quarter, the Clock Tower and the Chapel of the Good Event are other points not to be missed on a tour of the most representative spots in Lastres. The tour ends in the harbour, where fishing life is centred, with the arrival of the boats, the wholesale fish market and the daily work of artisan net menders.
