Event declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Principality of Asturias.

The religious tradition of Holy Week is reflected in the streets of Avilés with processions that go through the historic centre of the city between arcades, squares and palaces from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday.

The Easter Week processions have been held uninterruptedly since 1948, continuing the tradition of brotherhoods and processions that have been organised in the council since the 17th century.
