El Gaitero Cider Permanent Collection

La Espuncia is strategically located between the N632 road and the Villaviciosa estuary, in a place of extraordinary beauty. The factory, which began at the end of the 19th century with the first building for the production of cider and the winery, has undergone successive extensions and renovations, resulting in an architectural ensemble of singular interest, harmonious with the surroundings and with contained volumes, and with the singularity of having jetties on the longest estuary in Asturias, a Nature Reserve thanks to the richness of its biodiversity of aquatic birds.

El Gaitero is more than a brand and a factory, it symbolises a family way of doing business, based on a raw material and a product directly linked to the natural essence of the Asturian land, the cradle of cider par excellence. The factory can be visited, and it is certainly worth a visit to understand the essence of Asturias and its history.
